Terms and Conditions for Houston Tech Guys

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, HoustonTechGuys.com (“Service”), operated by Houston Tech Guys (“HTG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use our Service.

1. Intellectual Property

The Service and all original content, features, and functionality are the exclusive property of Houston Tech Guys and its licensors.
Our name, logo, and trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.

2. User Responsibilities

By using our Service, you agree that you will not:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

  • Use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

  • Upload or transmit harmful or offensive content.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or accounts.

3. Services and Availability

Houston Tech Guys provides a range of IT services, including but not limited to on-site IT support, remote troubleshooting, networking, computer repair, data recovery, and cybersecurity.
We strive for consistent availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

4. Accounts

To access certain features, you may need an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to safeguard your login credentials.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Payment Terms

Payment for services must be made according to the pricing listed on our website or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon service completion.

Rates:

Business Clients:
• Standard business hours (Mon–Fri): $150 per hour
• After 5 PM, weekends, emergencies, or holidays: $300 per hour
• Once a technician is dispatched or on-site, a 1-hour minimum is billed.

Residential Clients:
• Standard business hours (Mon–Fri): $150 per hour
• After 5 PM, weekends, emergencies, or holidays: $250 per hour
• Once a technician is dispatched or on-site, a 1-hour minimum is billed.

We reserve the right to suspend or refuse service for non-payment.

Late Fees & Interest:
Invoices are due upon receipt. Any invoice not paid within 7 days may be subject to a 10% late fee. An additional 5% interest fee may be applied every 30 days thereafter until the balance is paid in full. Houston Tech Guys reserves the right to pause services, deny future service, or pursue collection efforts for outstanding balances.

6. Refund, Return, and Warranty Policy

All services and labor are non-refundable once work has begun.
Because every service requires professional time and expertise, completed diagnostics, repairs, installations, and configurations cannot be refunded.

Customers must disclose any important data or files (e.g., Outlook contacts, photos, browser favorites, documents) before service begins.
If additional time is needed afterward to locate, back up, or restore undisclosed data, that work is billable.

Limited Warranty Exceptions:

  • If software installed by HTG (for example, Malwarebytes) becomes unusable, reinstallation of that same program is covered at no cost.

  • If a Windows installation performed by HTG becomes corrupted within 30 days, Windows will be reinstalled at no charge for the software itself.
    Any additional labor (data backup, restore, reconfiguration) is billable at standard rates.

  • Hardware supplied by HTG is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty; we assist with warranty claims or replacements when applicable.

Refunds are not offered on services already delivered.
If the same issue returns within 7 days, HTG may recheck and advise next steps at a discounted diagnostic rate.


This satisfaction re check is not a refund.

7. Privacy and Data Collection

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described there.

8. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites or services not owned or controlled by HTG.
We are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Houston Tech Guys is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service.

  • Unauthorized access or alteration of your data.

  • Errors, interruptions, or inaccuracies within the Service.

  • Any actions or omissions by third parties.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Houston Tech Guys, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of Texas courts for any disputes.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.
Changes take effect when posted on this page.
